Dr. Karen Stevenson is a dedicated academic leader and educator with extensive experience across all levels of education. She earned her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Higher Education Leadership from Western University, where her writing focused on enhancing employability outcomes within a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program. She also holds a Master of Education in Adult Education from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Education from Crandall University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of New Brunswick—establishing a strong foundation in both educational theory and instructional practice. With over two decades of professional experience in education, Dr. Stevenson has held several leadership positions, including her current position as Associate Vice President Learning Design and formally, Director Learning Experience Design at Yorkville University. In these roles, she has led strategic initiatives to transform curriculum delivery across online and on-campus modalities, championing innovation in instructional and learning experience design. Dr. Stevenson’s teaching experience spans higher education, K–12, and adult education. She currently serves as faculty within Yorkville University’s BBA program and has previously worked as a middle school teacher and ESL instructor. Her diverse instructional background reflects a deep commitment to student success and lifelong learning. Dr. Stevenson also holds certifications in Leadership, Learning Experience Design, and Classroom Management.
