Dr. Olivia Stewart

Dr. Olivia Stewart is a Registered Psychotherapist (#008325) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a professional member (#6005-G) of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). She holds a Doctor of Counselling and Psychotherapy degree from Yorkville University. Her academic background includes an Honours B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Toronto and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Her doctoral research focused on concepts of acceptance and willingness as clinical change-agents for treating chronic pain in adults.

Her comprehensive clinical background spans long-term care, in-patient and out-patient hospital settings, the elementary school system, and crisis and community work with a particular focus on supporting marginalized populations, including people living with disabilities, the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and Indigenous peoples. As the sole proprietor of a thriving private practice and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2 (CCTP-II), Dr. Stewart specializes in working with teens and adults on themes of complex trauma, chronic pain, self-esteem, and identity. Her integrative practice is informed by a non-oppressive, feminist lens, utilizing modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), hypnotherapy, experiential methods including expressive arts, and more.
