Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA)

CPA_Atlantic-rgb

Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) is the national organization established to support a unified accounting profession in Canada. CPAs are highly attractive to employers for their expertise in contributing to improved efficiency and growth.

Yorkville University’s Bachelor of Business Administration students who obtain the minimum required grade by CPA in certain Business courses are able to bypass the corresponding/equivalent CPA preparatory courses, as approved by the CPA Program Transfer Credit Guide, given here. CPA specifies the minimum required grade to be 50% for all non-core courses and 60% for all core courses. Please be aware that a minimum GPA of 65% or higher is required for entry into PEP, as calculated by averaging grades associated with all core PEP courses.

This recognition provides Yorkville University students with a faster pathway to obtain both a degree and a Chartered Professional Accountants designation.

For a current list of courses eligible for transfer, visit Yorkville University’s Transfer Credit Policy on the Chartered Professional Accountants website
