At Yorkville University, we believe that a degree parchment is far more than just a piece of paper—it is a testament to your perseverance, dedication, and the extraordinary journey you have undertaken to achieve your dreams. We aspire for every graduate to feel a profound sense of pride when holding their parchment, knowing it represents not only their remarkable accomplishments but also the exceptional quality and transformative impact of their education.
Our communication on January 30th highlighted our actions to date. We took your concerns to heart.
- We listened to feedback directly from students and graduates via focus groups and additional channels.
- Our senior leadership team collaborated to ensure the parchment was reflective of both tradition and modern identity.
- Additionally, we collaborated on improvements, by working closely with our design and production teams to create a revised parchment that better reflects the premium nature of Yorkville University and aligns with the expectations of our community.
We are proud to share that the newly designed parchment is now available. It addresses the feedback themes; primarily a larger size (14” X 11” instead of 8.5” X 11”), a more classic layout (landscape vs portrait), and a more visible seal.
This updated design was developed to align with Yorkville University’s modern brand and Mission Statement, emphasizing the values of access, rigor, and flexibility. Specifically, the new design reflects:
- Professionalism and Excellence: The parchment embodies our commitment to rigorous academic content delivered by professionally engaged faculty. It is a classic design that can be displayed with pride amongst other leading class institutions.
- Modern Identity: Yorkville University is a forward-thinking institution that prepares students to succeed in today’s evolving professional landscape. The inclusion of our new, golden shield is a proud icon that demonstrates a premium, modern education.
- Inclusivity and Access: The parchment design honours Yorkville University’s mission to provide flexible programs to diverse learners who balance education with personal and professional obligations. The lines of the YU shield within the seal indicate the various paths our students are on, and the consistent, shared line-weight of those paths represents the inclusivity and consistency of our offering.
We’ll be proud to distribute this classic, but modern parchment to Yorkville graduates moving forward.
Group 1 – 2024 Graduates from the MACP, MEd and DCP programs who have received their parchment
We are offering an option for you to request a replacement parchment featuring this design. If you’ve already paid the graduation fee, there is no additional cost for this replacement parchment.

This offer is available to 2024 graduates from MACP, MEd and DCP who have already received their parchments. The choice to receive this newly designed parchment is entirely optional to graduates. Shipments of these new designed parchments will start to be shipped in the first half of 2025. If interested, please fill out the form here.
Group 2 – 2024 Graduates who have not yet received their parchment
Graduates who have not yet received their 2024 parchment will automatically be shipped the new design. If you have already paid the graduation fee, no further action is required. These newly designed parchments will begin to be shipped in April. We apologize again for the delays.
