NBCC and Yorkville University agree to new business degree pathway

FREDERICTON, November 21, 2019—New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) and Yorkville University signed an agreement today that provides a new pathway for NBCC’s business administration diploma graduates to quickly obtain a degree.

Students who complete NBCC’s two-year Business Administration program can now be awarded transfer credits and directly enter their third year of a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at Yorkville University.

“We know that the world of work is changing and there are going to be numerous labour disruptions in the next decade, making it more important than ever for our students to be able to transfer skills and credits with ease,”  said Mary Butler, President and CEO of NBCC. “Pathway agreements like this give our graduates more options as they leave us and enter their next phase of career growth.”

NBCC has committed to reaching 11,000 learners annually by 2022 as part of its five-year strategic plan Together We Rise. Through articulation agreements with Yorkville University and other post-secondary institutions, NBCC is helping students continue their education in preparation for a more demanding labour market.

“Yorkville University is proud to partner with NBCC for this promising new pathway. Together, we’ll ensure our students remain competitive in the job market, equipped with the knowledge and know-how to succeed,” said Rick Davey, President of Yorkville University.
