Advance your career with recognition

Yorkville University values your military service. To honour your contributions, we offer current and former members of the Canadian Forces and their families unique benefits to advance their career.

You may qualify for a 25 percent tuition bursary and receive special course credits for military training, which can lower your tuition and help you graduate faster. You may also be eligible for flexible course completion options if you are in active service.

You can study full time or part time for your degree, online from anywhere in Canada or the world, or on campus in Toronto and Vancouver.

Course Credit for Military Training

Yorkville University recognizes the value of military training. Canadian Forces members applying to Yorkville University are eligible for a significant transfer of credit from military training to be applied towards degree programs.

Using the National Advanced Placement and Prior Learning (N-APPL) portal, students are able to have their military credit conveniently assessed, so they can lower their total tuition and graduate faster.

Military Deployment Policy

Canadian Forces members who cannot finish a course due to deployment can use tuition credits from the incomplete course without penalty.

Also, students unable to finish a course due to deployment will not be assigned a ‘withdrawn’ or ‘failed’ status on the course but will be granted an opportunity to retake the course with a clean transcript.

Tuition paid for courses will be credited to their next courses when they return from deployment. The tuition credit will take into account any refunds issued for the impacted courses.
