Dr. Angela Antohi-Kominek is Vice President Academic and Campus Principal at Yorkville University, Ontario campus. In addition to numerous years of academic experience as an educator and administrator, she worked in the private sector for Apotex Inc. and for Wrigley Canada. Dr. Antohi-Kominek holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a focus in higher education form Western University. She is an alumna of Yorkville University’s Master of Education program and her first degree is in Toxicology and Human Biology from University of Toronto. Dr. Antohi-Kominek works closely with program leaders and academic staff to ensure student needs are met and are consistent with the university’s mission in meeting students where they are. Her passion includes creating inclusive faculty communities among all faculty groups, on-line and on-campus, as well as immersing faculty who have never taught before into the world of academia. Dr. Antohi-Kominek is a firm advocate for life-long learning, and her areas of scholarly interest include faculty development, academic integrity, workplace stress in the academy, and the future of the academy.
