Yorkville University Inaugural Alumni Community Event Coming to B.C.

An upcoming Yorkville University’s Alumni event in Vancouver, B.C. is shaping up to be an exceptional event, where not only will those in attendance hear from speakers Dr. Peter Hall, the Dean of Yorkville’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and the President of Yorkville University, Dr. Rick Davey, but also two of our outstanding alumni.

This, the inaugural alumni event for Yorkville University, is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on March 10 at the new Yorkville University B.C. campus at 1090 West Georgia St.

Talia Camozzi graduated with her MACP from Yorkville in 2013, has a thriving private practice as a Counselling Psychologist, and has recently published her first book, titled “Healing Winter SAD”.  Camozzi is currently working on her second book, and is a seasoned public speaker, with a gift for inspiring others. She will be travelling from Revelstoke, B.C., to participate in the festivities in Vancouver.

“I’m so honoured to have been asked to participate in this event,” she said, with enthusiasm.

Gregg Taylor, also one of our alumni speakers, is an ardent ambassador for Yorkville since he took to the podium as valedictorian for his graduating class of 2015, is passionate about helping his community.  Taylor serves a wide range of individuals in his practice as a counselling psychologist, as well as being President of the Family Service Employee Assistance program in Vancouver.  Taylor’s work exemplifies his personal mission statement which is “to create spaces of grace for people’s healing and growth.”

Taylor was recently featured on Roundhouse Radio, discussing the practice of counselling to mark the occasion of Psychology Month in B.C.

In addition to the guest speakers, there will be an opportunity to tour Yorkville’s brand new Vancouver Campus, network with your peers and partake in some refreshments. We encourage all alumni and current students not to miss opportunity to hear from these inspiring leaders, and to liaise with, and celebrate Yorkville’s alumni community on March 10th. Prior to the alumni launch is the official opening of Yorkville’s beautiful Vancouver campus, situated in one of the city’s prime locations, with a stunning view of downtown.
