Yorkville Announces Partnership with the Catholic Principal’s Council | Ontario

CONCORD, ON, April 2, 2019 – Yorkville University is proud to announce a new partnership with the Catholic Principal’s Council | Ontario (CPCO), which will allow more students to seamlessly transfer from select CPCO programs into Yorkville’s Master of Education.  

Effective as of Jan. 1, 2019, CPCO students can now transfer up to two completed Principal Qualification Program (PQP) courses to Yorkville University to count as electives towards their Master of Education. Transfer credit will be assessed at the time of admission.  

Under the partnership, CPCO students admitted to Yorkville University will also receive a 20 per cent tuition bursary.

Yorkville University currently offers two Master of Education specializations online  in Adult Education and in Educational Leadership  

The Master of Education in Adult Education is designed for working professionals who seek opportunities in teaching and training, and are currently employed in industries such as health care, public services, post-secondary education or workforce development. 

The Master of Education in Educational Leadership is designed for professionals who want to become effective and innovative educational leaders and is divided into two specializations: Educational Administration and Leadership in Learning 

The Educational Administration stream is for administrators and educators in the K-12 system, while the Leadership in Learning stream is for non-school-based educational leaders in public, private, and not-for-profit organizations.  

Lead by highly qualified instructors who bring contemporary knowledge of adult education and online learning to the online student community, courses emphasize the value of self-reflection and continued professional development, so that can students build on and incorporate their work and life experiences.
