System Requirements
At a minimum, you should have a 56K modem connection to the Internet, email capability, and access to one of the following web browsers:
Note: We do not recommend using other browsers such as Google Chrome or Safari. You will not have the toolbar enabling you to add bold, italics, or underlining to your text in forums. If you are using an Apple computer and want these capabilities, we recommend using Mozilla Firefox, which is free.
You should have a computer capable of accessing the Internet comfortably; a Pentium III or a newer Macintosh computer should suffice.
Up-to-date anti-virus software installed on your computer is also highly recommended. AVGFree is a good anti-virus program which is free for personal use should you require it.
Finally, you will need word processing software (like Microsoft Word) and other tools needed to send electronically-submitted assignments. If you do not have Microsoft office, we recommend OpenOffice which is available free of charge.
You should also have experience using email and browsing web pages.
