Biopsychosocial Aspects of Disease I
This course will provide students with an in-depth introduction to the role of health psychology in the prevention and treatment of hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD). Topics include improving health outcomes and quality of life. Emphasis will also be placed on understanding the biopsychosocial issues specific to these disorders.
