Message from the Dean, Faculty of Behavioural Sciences
On behalf of the faculty, staff and students, I would like to welcome you to the Faculty of Behavioural Science at Yorkville University. Our Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program is designed to provide advanced study in the field of counselling and psychotherapy for individuals who, for reasons of family or employment commitments, geographical isolation or physical disability, are unable to attend traditional university programs. The MACP program allows students to acquire specialized and advanced knowledge in the theory and practice of professional counselling and to develop applied skills consistent with a master’s level qualification in counselling psychology.
We are committed to offering a quality academic program. Our Faculty is made up of experienced scholars and practitioners from across North America. All faculty members have completed doctoral studies and many continue to practice as counsellors and psychologists. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to helping you succeed in your graduate studies.
We take great pride in the fact that the Faculty of Behavioural Science has evolved to become a leader in providing graduate level training to professional counsellors in Canada. Over 600 people have graduated from the MACP program since 2004 and many hold senior positions as counsellors and psychotherapists. Today, we are proud to say that approximately more than 500 students are active in the MACP program every year.
Please take time to review the material on our Web site. Should you require any additional information please contact the University by email or by telephone. We strongly encourage talented and highly motivated students to apply to the Faculty of Behavioural Science.
Sincerely,
Dean, Faculty of Behavioural Sciences
